It is time to prepare for the FY 2025 ICD-10-CM coding updates, which go into effect on Oct. 1, 2024. HIPAA requires that the facility’s clinical team ensure accurate diagnoses are reflected in the medical record. Jennifer will also recommend actionable steps to be taken by Oct. 1 to ensure facilities update current codes to the new and revised ICD-10-CM codes.
