To maintain your RAC-CT certification, you must recertify every two years. Fulfill your recertification requirements by participating in the RAC-CT Recertification On-Demand Workshop and passing the two associated recertification exams with a score of at least 80%.

This four-part workshop covers the following topics:

• RAC-CT Recertification Part 1: MDS Coding Updates and Pitfalls
• RAC-CT Recertification Part 2: Updates and Pitfalls – OBRA Timing and Scheduling, CAAs, and Care Planning
• RAC-CT Recertification Part 3: Updates and Pitfalls – Intro to Medicare, MDS 3.0 QM, and Five-Star
• RAC-CT Recertification Part 4: Updates and Pitfalls – PDPM and Introduction to ICD-10-CM for Long-Term Care

Note: Purchasing recertification materials does not extend the expiration date of your credential.

If you do not meet the recertification requirements by the expiration date of your certification, or if you allow your RAC-CT certification to lapse, you will no longer be entitled to use the RAC-CT credential. If you want to regain your certification after your expiration date, you will be required to retake and pass the final exams for the complete ten-course RAC-CT certification program.

5.5 contact hours will be awarded for this continuing nursing education activity. Learners must view at least 80% of each video and complete the associated evaluation to receive the contact hours. No partial credit will be awarded. Contact hours will be awarded for this activity until September 15, 2028.
