The Five-Star Quality Measures On-Demand Workshop is a three-part program that starts with the basics of how QMs are calculated and the fundamentals of the Five-Star Quality Rating System. The workshop builds on this knowledge and demonstrates how to use the Internet Quality Improvement and Evaluation (iQIES) and Five-Star Provider Rating Reports, with the source manuals, to recognize areas for quality improvement. The workshop then ties it all together by walking the team through how to begin quality improvement efforts by identifying the root cause(s) of a problem and implementing a change to the underlying process or system that had resulted in a decline in quality outcomes.

2.5 contact hours will be awarded for this continuing nursing education activity. Learners must view at least 80% of each video and complete the associated evaluation to receive the contact hours. No partial credit will be awarded. Contact hours will be awarded for this activity until February 28, 2028.
