The DNS-CT® (Director of Nursing Services–Certified) certification indicates that you are a leader and that you know how to improve quality, communications, and resident care throughout the facility.
AAPACN’s DNS-CT program consists of 10 education courses designed for post-acute care professionals with a current RN license and the equivalent of two years of full-time post-acute care experience, with a minimum of one year of experience either as a DNS or relevant nursing leadership experience. To earn the DNS-CT credential, learners must successfully pass the 10 associated final certification exams. Courses are offered as live workshops and an online course format.
Recertification is required every two years.
